10 Years - Note on Minimum Ages

A new "family values" comedy for PAX TV based on the humor of popular comedian Jeff Allen.

"My wife is always trying to get me to exercise. First of all, I hate exercise. I tried jogging about a year ago. I wasnít very good at it. Iíd run about a mile...buy a half-a-dozen doughnuts...and walk back. I ran every day for six months and gained forty-one pounds...if you ask me, running really packs on the flab.......My exercise trainer told me to start my workout program a little slow. So, Iím sleeping with ankle weights on. You never know, you might roll over and burn a calorie or two......The hardest part of raising three boys was child-proofing our home. We finally ended up just taking a hammer and smashing everything of value."

Welcome to the put-upon life of Jeff Allen, stand-up comedian. With his trademark, pained smile, he talks about his wife, his kids, his parents, and his neighbors. He majors in minutiae-topics ranging from potty training his two year old, to serving his children dessert, to chasing his wife with a roaster chicken. His active imagination is fueled by real-life experiences with his family.

During his nineteen years on the road, heís performed with Jerry Seinfeld, the Temptations, Dionne Warwick, Barbara Mandrell, the Smothers Brothers and many others. Heís been showcased on many of cableís premier comedy programs. Heís played clubs, casinos, conventions, and concert halls. These days, with a newfound faith, heís added churches to his resumeí. A highlight of this latest chapter in his career was performing before 12,000 people at the 1998 Praise Gathering in Indianapolis, Indiana where he was met with immediate acceptance and rabid enthusiasm. ìOur people absolutely love Jeff,î stated Bill Gaither. ìHis stories about kids, parents and family life were hilarious and the testimony of his newly found faith moved us all.î Jeff now finds a fresh new audience tickled by his telling of the travails of family life. Itís also made for the opportunity to bring his sometimes-unnerving but always-relatable comedy to a long-form video, HAPPY WIFE, HAPPY LIFE, shot in July 1998......now, the series....coming soon to PAX!
