| Set in the
Chicago suburb of Oak Park, Ill., For Your Love follows three
couples bound by friendship and family as they traverse the
many phases of life and love in all their glorious
complications. Celebrating the humor in the lifelong tug of
war between every twosome, the series stars Holly Robinson
Peete, James Lesure, Dedee Pfeiffer, Edafe Blackmon , Tamala
Jones and D.W. Moffett.
While adjusting to married
life, Mel (Lesure) and Malena (Robinson Peete) Ellis exercise
strong wills and a fiery passion for each other as they learn
the hard lesson that the early years are always the toughest.
As the couple faces the impending arrival of their first
little bundle of joy, Mel takes the professional leap of
striking out on his own, turning down the security of a
partnership to pursue his dream of starting his own law firm.
Their close friends and next-door neighbors, Sheri (Pfeiffer)
and Dean (Moffett) Winston, are former high school sweethearts
and destined soul mates, somewhat settled yet struggling to
keep things fresh after seven years of marriage. This season,
the seemingly perfect couple faces a marital crisis as Sheri
begins to question the direction her life has taken. On the
flip side, the maritally gun-shy yet perfect pair of Melís
playboy brotherReggie Ellis (Blackmon) and his sometime
girlfriend Bobbi Seawright (Jones) may finally be ready to
take their perpetually on-again off-again relationship to a
permanent level.
