18 Years - Note
on Minimum Ages

Not a talk show, not a sitcom, not a game show, Whose Line Is It Anyway? is a completely unique concept to network television. Four talented actors perform completely unrehearsed skits and games in front of a studio audience. Host Drew Carey sets the scene, with contributions from the audience, but the actors rely completely on their quick wit and improvisational skills. It's genuinely improvised, so anything can happen - and often does. Drew Carey, Ryan Stiles, Colin Mochrie, Wayne Brady and a rotating roster of actor/comedians including (but not limited to) Greg Proops, Chip Esten, Kathy Greenwood and Brad Sherwood improvise their way through the half-hour of non-stop laughs. Multi-talented musicians Laura Hall and Linda Taylor are on hand to provide a variety of musical cues used in the sketches. What began as a fun little radio program in London in 1988 has become American television's most unique comedy series.
Production Notes - Please Read:
The studio audience is on camera. Dress comfortably, but nicely. Please, no hats or t-shirts with visible photos, large words or logos! It may be cool in the studio so please dress accordingly. You may want to bring a sweater or light jacket. The audience appears on camera, and some guests may actually participate in the show. The minimum age restriction (18) as posted will be strictly enforced at the studio! You will see many of your favorite games taped without breaks as there are no re-shot scenes, costume or set changes. You should expect to be in the studio for 3-4 hours.
We want you to be involved in the show! Please bring a prop for the Props Game! In this game, each pair of artists is given one or two props. They must then improvise short scenes finding as many uses for them as possible. As an example, a prop that worked well in the past was a large T shape made of foam rubber. The pair pretended to be on a ski-lift and fish on a hook, etc. The best props, therefore, are ones that can be used in many situations. They can be any shape, color, size or texture you like, but objects that are very small or dark will not show up well on camera and cannot be used.
