George Lopez
, one of the premier comedic talents in the entertainment industry
today, is now starring in a new family comedy for ABC from Warner
Brothers Television in association with producer Bruce Helford
("The Drew Carey Show," "Rosanne") and actress
Sandra Bullock. THE GEORGE LOPEZ SHOW is centered on a Latino
family, based loosely on his real life. He stars as an assembly
line worker promoted to manage a Los Angeles-based airplane parts
factory. His job and busy family life are complicated by the
presence of his stubborn, insensitive and controlling mother.
About George Lopez...
He hosted his own morning radio show for Clear Channel
Communications in Los Angeles. He is the first Latino to have
headlined the keystone morning radio slot on an English-language
station in LA - the nation’s top radio market. He took his
program from mediocre ratings to top 10 in just a few short
months. George has appeared on over 70 television programs
including: "The Tonight Show," Showtime's, "Latino
Laugh Festival," ABC’s "PoliticallyIncorrect,"
and is a frequent host on Univision’s "Que Locos." He
is featured in a recurring role for Showtime's "Resurrection
Boulevard," and is a contributing writer for Nickelodeon's
"The Brothers Garcia."
