Universal Studios, Hollywood offers a tour of their studios via a covered tram from within the park.  This was one of the original studio tours in Los Angeles, and later was turned into a theme park by Universal.

Universal Studios offers a tram tour of its back lot included in the admission price to the Universal Studios theme park.  This tour offers a glimpse of the studio operations as well as many different facades and sound stages featured in hit movies.  Some of the most recent sets that the tour offers a look at are one of the sets to Ron Howard's The Grinch starring Jim Carrey, and the building used as " Site 'B' " from Steven Spielberg's blockbuster, The Lost World, Jurassic Park.

One of the most noted stops on the tour include the clock tower square from the Back to the Future trilogy starring Christopher Lloyd and Michael J. Fox.

Throughout the tour, various sound stages and back-lot streets are passed.  The movies filmed at these sound stages range from Jurassic Park to The Truman Show as well as older silent films.  The many back lot facades and buildings that the tram passes include a lake with a large blue backdrop where some scenes from The Truman Show and Apollo 13 were filmed as well as the Bates Motel and both Psycho Houses (One from the original Hitchcock film and the other from the more recent remake).

The tram also passes the streets of Old Mexico, London, and New York where many outdoor street scenes were filmed including the opening dance sequence to Austin Powers starring Mike Myers.  Other sets include Sparticus, Three Amigos, and Dante's Peak.
