requested date and 3 alternate dates to:
The Tonight Show with Jay Leno
3000 W. Alameda Ave.
Burbank, CA 91523
You can also get
tickets to the Tonight Show at the NBC gift shop in Burbank the
same day as the taping on a first-come, first-serve basis
beginning at 8:00am. Tapings take place Monday through Friday
around 5:00 pm. Lines can begin to form very early in the day,
sometimes even overnight (as was the case when *NSYNC was
performing). This usually depends on the guest scheduled for
appearance on the show for that particular day. Once you
have secured a ticket for the show, you must line up in front of
Studio #3 on Alameda Avenue (in front of NBC Studios) before
4:00pm. This location has changed from the old location in
the gift shop (where you pick up the tickets). It is up to
you what time you arrive in line, but please remember that the
studio does not guarantee admission until you are actually in the
sound stage. The first people in line tend to get the better
seats, and depending on the number of VIP guests on the list, you
may even get one of the wooden seats up front, and you may get to
shake Jay Leno's hand on national television!
Have fun at The
Tonight Show with Jay Leno!
Free "Guest
List" Tickets
Audience Associates
occasionally distributes guaranteed admission "guest
list" tickets to The Tonight Show. What this means is
that, even though you still will have to wait in line with
everyone else, you are guaranteed admission to the studio.
Guest list tickets are usually only available twice a week, and
are more plentiful in the slow season (when everyone is back in
school), and less plentiful in the summer and other times
throughout the year. If you would like to check to see if
any guest list tickets are available, please call Audience
Associates at (323) 653-4105.

16 Years - Note
on Minimum Ages

America’s late-night leader,
NBC’s “The Tonight Show With Jay Leno,” continues “The
Tonight Show’s” proud half-century tradition of entertaining
viewers and providing them with laughs before retiring at night as
well as provoking headlines and water-cooler conversation the next
day. The program continued to make history in April 1999 when it
became the first television series to be broadcast nightly in HDTV
(high-definition television), the latest milestone in a successful
nine-year run for Leno, who has led the show to its current top
position among all late-night talk programs for more than five
years – a notable achievement considering the show’s roller
coaster ride in the beginning.
“The Tonight Show’s” history goes back to the 1950s when its
first permanent host was Steve Allen, followed by Jack Paar,
Johnny Carson and now, Jay Leno. Considered by many a
“variety” show, “The Tonight Show With Jay Leno” features
a nightly monologue and newsmaking guests, as well as ongoing
comedy segments such as “Headlines,” remote spots,
“Jaywalking” and the new “Battle of Jaywalking All-Stars.”
The result is a unique look at today’s pop culture.
Honored for Emmy Awards in 1995 and 1996, “The Tonight Show”
was also voted by readers of TV Guide as Favorite Late Night Show
in 1999 and 2000. The program has proven to be a barometer of
political clout as the Los Angeles Times noted that “The road to
the White House apparently leads through Burbank,” as
presidential candidates Al Gore and George W. Bush dropped by to
poke fun during their campaigns. Other notable achievements
include Leno’s celebrity signed motorcycle, which was auctioned
on eBay for $360,200 to benefit the Twin Towers Fund after the
September 11 terrorist attach, his exclusive interview with
Senator John Glenn and the astronauts of the Space Shuttle
Discovery, and a pay-per-view wrestling match between Leno and
Hulk Hogan.
Many of the world’s most popular celebrities, musical guests and
newsworthy names have appeared on “The Tonight Show with Jay
Leno” recently. They include: Ricky Martin, Britney Spears,
Christina Aguilera, Cuba Gooding Jr., John Travolta, Arnold
Schwarzeneggar, Robert DeNiro, Kevin Spacey, Marc Anthony,
supermodel Heidi Klum, Harrison Ford, Ben Affleck, Gwyneth Paltrow,
Shaquille O’Neal, Elton John, The Backstreet Boys, Garth Brooks,
Sheryl Crow, Enrique Iglesias, Mel Gibson, ’N Sync, Jerry
Seinfeld, Tom Hanks, Angelina Jolie, Sean Connery and Senator John
McCain. In addition to the star-power, the “Tonight Show”
production team searches for the most interesting “civilian”
guests such as kid inventors, and folks with quirky talents and
funny stories.
Guitarist Kevin Eubanks joins Leno each night as the show’s
bandleader. Debbie Vickers is the executive producer. Gary
Considine is executive producer for NBC Studios. “The Tonight
Show with Jay Leno” is from Big Dog Productions in association
with NBC Studios. |
