Visitor Experience: "Friends"
August 17, 2001
My experience with “Friends”
I thought to myself it would be impossible to get tickets to
Friends, but
it wouldn’t hurt to try. I knew they wouldn’t send the tickets until
two or
three weeks before the show. My surprise the tickets arrived exactly
three
weeks before the august 17 show. Well the day came I was nervous, we
arrived
to Warner bros studios at 10:30am, the show started at 2:30pm, there
were
already about 40 people waiting. They made us wait outside the
studios until
11:30, when a lady would come to check the tickets, tell you that
maybe we
wouldn’t get in, give you a number in line and tell you we had to
wait until
12:45 before we could form another line inside the studios. At 1pm
we were
escorted inside the studios were we stood in a line of about 90
people, we
were number 40,41,42 and 43. They told us we wouldn’t know if we
were going
to see the show until they knew how many VIP guests were invited.
At about 2:30pm they let 30 people in, and told us we had to wait
until
they could see how many seats were left in the set. I was so
nervous,
something told me we weren’t going to be able to see the show, I
waited for
about 15 minutes (the longest 15 minutes in my life), and suddenly
they let
15 more people in, including me and my family. We got the farther
seats in
the place, but it didn’t manner. Suddenly the guy who entertains the
audience says “are you ready to meet the stars of friends!”, I got
so
exited, I realized I was really there. I heard it would get boring
to see
the scenes over and over again, but it didn’t bother me, I thought
they were
funny every time they did them, I never had to fake my laugh. They
had
television sets for the audience so they could follow the story and
could
see the scenes who where in places unable to see live. In the middle
of the
show a lady told us we could seat in front row, because some of
Jennifer
Aniston’s guests left. I was there in front row seeing my favorite
show live
with my favorite actors. It all lasted for about six hours, they
were the
fastest six hours of my life, I never wanted them to end. I thought
the
episode was really funny, they really are great actors and really
nice
people. Well that was one of the best days of my life, it was fun,
even
between each scene they would entertain you with gifts, music and
even a
Karaoke. I really think you should try it, it was worth waiting 4
hours.
